How to Prepare the Modern Generation for Jobs in the Robotics Field?
Abstract
The current stage of development of science and technology is characterized by the growing popularity of robotics and the expansion of the use of robots. Such trends lead to the need for the rapid changes in the professions in demand in the labor market and, accordingly, the requirements for professional competencies of modern professionals whose activities are related to the use of robotic systems and mechanisms. The paper is devoted to the issues of what competencies to use robotics systems and mechanisms should be developed in future professionals for use in their working fields and everyday life. Also consist of reviews the results of the study examining the target group readiness level to use robotic systems and mechanisms while studying and in everyday life. On the example of two areas (education and medicine) authors explore issues on how to prepare the modern generation for using robotics in their professional activity and daily life. We analyzed 120 students that consists of pre-service teachers (61 students from the training teacher university – National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, Kyiv, Ukraine) and medical students (59 foreign students from the Bogomolets National Medical University, Kyiv, Ukraine), who have been involved in this process. According to the research results, we determined the ways of formation in future specialists general and special competencies for working with robotic systems and mechanisms in their professional field and everyday life.
