LIRCES
Since its creation, LIRCES has been committed to an inter- and trans-disciplinary scientific project that brings together Psychology, Anthropology, Ethnology, Arts, Civilizations and Literatures, Gender and Cultural Studies, Information and Communication Sciences, Visual and Film Studies, around the unifying theme of narrative, and more precisely, narrativity understood as the universal mode of storytelling. Narrativity permeates ancient and contemporary practices and practices, across the full spectrum of cultural, aesthetic, social and political production forms. To take an interest in narrativity is to uncover the ontological narrative structure that constitutes social reality, and how it is actualized through the proliferation of images and texts, be they video games, series, films, literatures and literacies, socionumeric networks, or political, clinical, media or economic narrativity. The LIRCES research laboratory is supported by two EURs at the Université Côte d'Azur: EUR CREATES and EUR ODYSSEE.
